interspesific hybrids (C. maxima X C. moschata) for rootstock
My name is Onur Karaagac. I have been conducting studies on the subject âDetermination of rootstock potential of Cucurbita maxima, C. moschata, and interspesific hybrids genotypes for watermelonâ at the Black-Sea Agricultural Research lnstitute-Turkey. We have winter squash and pumpkin materials having different traits and collected from several parts of Turkey.
Success rate has been pretty low for interspesific crossing between C. maxima and C. moschata. In addition, some of obtained hybrid seed have not quality and donât show full formation. What should be done to increase crossing success rate and to form full seed formation. Which procedure we must follow on this subject? I need your help on this subject. Could you please inform ne as? Thank you in advance.
