help training vines!

NOTE: For pumpkin, don't know the width and height of plant, none of the seed catalogs say.

Want to use cages. Each cage would be 3'-4' wide and 1'-2' tall, as this is how wide and tall plants are. Cages would be made from concrete reinforcement wire. Would vines be trained up cages? If so, would do this for vines of entire plant?

Would a trellis be required in combination w/cages to bare weight of fruit?

For weight of the fruit....

Butternut- 4 to 5 per plant, 1-1/2 lbs. each, 5-7 lbs. total

Buttercup-up to 4 per plant, each 3 lbs., 3-12 lbs.

Pumpkin- 7 to 10 lbs. each, 3-5 fruit per plant, 35-50 lbs total (pie pumpkins; semi bush plants)

Spaghetti-up to 2 lbs. per fruit.

Acorn- 2 lbs. per fruit.

For trellis (if needed) nylon netting (bares up to 50 lbs.)

and electrical conduit (metal poles).
