Well, I'm certainly glad I found ya'll. I've been reading here for an hour or so. I just thought I'd stick my neck out and say what I'm up too.

I've got a hilltop in North Georgia, 6b, where I occasionaly go to eat lunch. I decided to try and grow some giant gourds as well as some giant pumpkins. Why not? I can take water to them. I'm thinking of one or two mounds of each. I might do some watermellon as well.

The hill top is full sun and planted in fescue. We generally mow it with a bush-hog. I was thinking of weedeating in front of the growing vines to give them a little "edge" on the grassy competition. Or I could spray round-up in front of the vines. Any suggestions? (I'm thinking this will make for a pretty strange ariel photo:)
