Need egg gourd ideas!

Hello out there in gourdland! I haven't posted on here in a long time. I have about a bazillion egg gourds that I grew last year and I wondered if anyone could pass on any ideas besides Christmas ornaments for them. Pictures would be grand if you had them or could point me to some please. I am bummed because I was not even able to make it to the Indiana Gourd Show this year - I'm sure it was wonderful as always. First time I've missed in several years. :(

Any ideas/thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Well, at this time of year.......maybe.....Easter Eggs??

I'm sure that has crossed your mind, but I just had to mention it.
There is a lot of home decorating done with orbs and spheres in interesting vessels, for instance, gourd bowls.
I think they would look great painted in rich reds, antique white, and black, then stained to look old. I'm imagining diamond patterns or other simple abstracts, all piled together in a stained gourd bowl.

I'm sure there are lots of other ideas floating out there.

Ps. glad to have you posting on the gourd forum again.

I've seen where people make tulips out of egg gourds. You have to attach some sort of stem, but you could make a nice tulip bouquet. I've seen them made into lily pad flowers too.

If you email me I can give you some pictures of what I have done with them. :0)
