New england pie pumpkins. yield and sprawl

I'm planning on planting some new england pie pumpkins for the first time and have been reading this forum and the cornell website.

When I get seedlings, the cornell website said to thin them out to about 2 or 3 per hill. So do I let all these vines grow?

On average, how many pumpkins do you get from a vine?

How long do vines get? I'm planting these in a raised bed.

Thanks

I have grown New England pie pumpkins many years.
    They are nice little pumpkins.
As far as growing them...their vines are considered "semi vine" so they will grow about 4 or 5 feet and usually you will get 3 to 5 pumpkins per vine.
You can grow 2 or 3 vines per hill.
Also I have found if you pick the first nice pumpkin right away you will get better size on the remaining pumpkins.
