any idea what this volunteer is?

I made 3 new raised beds (2' x 8') and filled with my own homemade compost... obviously the stuff wasn't 100% composted because I have had tons of "volunteer" tomatoes popping up everywhere.

I also have a "volunteer" vine of some sort. Last year I grew cucumbers and watermelon but I also composted kitchen scraps which could have included pumpkins, acorn squash, spaghetti squash, cantaloupe, honey dew etc....

It's growing right in-between a couple of celebrity tomato plants that are about 3' apart... so I'm going to let it live. just curious if anyone recognizes the leaf pattern.

Nice... funny how that volunteer is doing 10x better than the ones I planted.

I think (hope) it will fine where it's at. The watermelon is growing close to the edge of the raised bed, where-as the tomatoes are centered (2' wide beds). The tomatoes are 3' apart and this vine is almost midway between two of them.

I hope there is enough room for everyone's roots, especially with the rich homemade compost I put in the bed (which is how the seed got there in the first place).

Now, will this watermelon be from the smaller variety I grew last year, or one of the larger store bought melons.... anticipation! It's almost like christmas, maybe better :)
