 o
pinch early squash blossoms?

I have 6-8 inch yellow crookneck and zucchini plants that have begun to flower. They are rather spindly things, I started them from seed, then we had some late cold weather that delayed my putting them out in the garden. There's no way these little guys are ready to start setting fruit, should I pinch back these blossoms? I know this is done with tomatoes/peppers, etc. I've never seen this before with squash. Would appreciate any ideas.

It wouldn't hurt to pinch off the small fruits. Otherwise, I suspect the plant itself will abort them. Tiny squash, even with the flower still attached are very good in vegetable soup!
