I had a few pumpkins sprout up in my front yard from where we cleaned last years at Halloween. I moved them into a pot approx 12" diameter 12" deep. There are 3 plants. They are beginning to vine out and there are close to 15 male buds, some if which have already bloomed. Should I transplant into the ground or would it be ok to leave them where they are? The longest vine is around 2 1/2 ft long. This is my first time growing pumpkins, and was purely accidental.
