crookneck squash look like pumpkin???

I sowed crookneck squash seeds into two different beds. Those from #1 bed have produced normal crookneck squashes, while those from #2 bed have produced pumpkin like fruits as in the pic:

I remember that my pumpkin plant two years ago had the same type of trailing habit with the center vine going long, like what this plant is doing now. The yellow crookneck squash plants do not do that, yet they are more mounding and compact. Since my pumpkin plants always died before they mature, I did not plant it at all this year...... but why this plant from #2 bed looks like a pumpkin plant?

Thanks
