Not enough male flowers on pumpkin

jludman

I have 3 Atlantic Giant pumpkins growing into my lawn this year. My biggest is about 12' main vine, and sadly the first female flower (about 1 week ago) had no male flowers to pollinate it. I had 1 male flower bloom 3 days ago, which is pretty shriveled up now. Looks like tomorrow there will be another female bloom, but no male flowers once again. I'd guess a male might bloom in 3 days.

Anything I can do to save my 2nd female? Force open an unopened male flower? Try to get pollen from a 3 day old male?

Last year I used a different variety and didn't cover my vines as assiduously, but there was always like 6 male flowers vying for the affections of the few females...

thanks,

-JJ
