You need to pinch off the growing tip of your vine. This will promote growth of lateral shoots which produces female flowers. I had the same problem last year and didn't know about pinching off the growing tip of the vine when it reaches 6 to 8 ft long. As a result, I didn't get any female flowers until late summer. Once you start to get female flowers, check them to see if they are pollenated. If not, you may have to give nature a helping hand. Gene

genepa, I will try that tonight, that is after the direct sun passes. UGH last night at 8pm it was still 100 degrees and tomorrow is supposed to be hotter so I don't have much hope for tonight!!

where are you Uptomyeyeballs? I am in Sacramento... sounds like OUR weather! whew! water in the dark, for heaven's sakes! Yesterday, I just kept spraying MYSELF with the plants.

I had to laugh because while watering this morning I kept spraying my feet and face. I just wish the awful humidity would pass at least.
