Nancy, I live in NW Iowa and get plenty of snow, my gourds did better outside then the ones brought in. The grouds are either going to make it or not.

Hi Nancy, I left my many dozens of apple gourds in the yard through our snowiest winter in years, didn't even see them for several months while they were covered with snow. The ones that were left outside did better than the ones I brought into the garage to dry - much less mold. I know different gourds dry at different rates, but those thick skinned apples did very well outside all winter. J

Thank you..Maybe I will just bring the ornamental ones in to dry or leave some of the bigger ones outside and bring some inside--I hate waiting so long for them to dry--Thanks much--Nancy
