In late April, our second pumpkin (first ever in a pot) sprouted. Since then, we've transplanted it into a large wood pot (pictured). We are aware of the space that pumpkins occupy, but due to lack of planter space, we decided to try to vertically trellis the vine.
Currently, We have guided the vine up the brick wall, under an existing metal wire, and now has nowhere to grab.
We were leaning towards buying a large, circular, tripod style trellis (I've seen for around $16 bucks locally) to stick in the pot for now, but I wanted to ask the experts what the most PUMPKIN FRIENDLY AS WELL AS EYE APPEALING option to continue to trellis the vine.
Please offer us any ideas or opinions you may have!
Thanks!
