Last year was my first year for growing some birdhouse and dipper gourds. They've taken forever to dry. Early last spring, I took them off the table on the porch and put them into mesh laundry bags and hung them up on the porch, for better air circulation.

Then one day, I thought of something else. I drive a van, and I put both mesh bags in the back of it.....where they will get dry, intense heat. You could do that in any kind of car that sits in the sun. I'm sure it will speed up the drying. Just thought I'd share this little tip.
