Crossing Baby Pam and Sugar Pie Pumpkins

Hey everyone! So, I'm still fairly new to gardening in general, but I am astounded by the success I'm having with my pumpkins (I planted a total of 12 seeds, which now cover close to 40 square feet - they have virtually exploded!). So far out of them 3 have produced baby pumpkins (one naturally pollenated, two hand pollenated though mother nature may have helped too). I'm considering trying to cross the two varieties I had planted. I'm just curious if anyone else has crossed these two and what sort of results you had? If I cross them, will the seeds in the resulting fruit be viable?? Was the sum greater or less than its parts? :)
