How do you know when to pick baby boo pumpkins

Posted by gourdo_2006 (My Page) on

I have some baby boo pumpkins that have stopped growing. How do I know if they are ready to be cut off the vine. Also my jack-be-little pumpkins are very orange and have a hard outter skin. I planted my garden in early May and am not sure if I maybe planted too soon????

Any advice on when to harvest pumpkins and gourds would be great!

Thanks, Gourdo!

Hi, I just planted a couple of thousand of them, on my seed package, it says 90 to 110 days to maturity, every year we have an annual pumpkin patch, so in order for our plants not to rot before October season, in Arkansas, we have to wait until July to plant them, generally, the vines begin to die back when they are finished. I hope this helps.

Thanks. I just wasn't sure. I'll have to go back on my calendar and figure out what day I planted. Thanks again for the advice!
