Hornworm

I found a hornworm this morning near the top of one of my Betterboys. In 30years of gardening and growing tomatoes, I've only found hornworms maybe a dozen times. Heard horror stories about them destroying whole plants so will definately be keeping an eye out for them. If only they would eat the red spider mites, (which I'll be taking care of after the rain stops in a couple of days.) As for the HW, he got squished and is "Deader-n-Elvis!"

Is Elvis still dead? Get yourself some Dipel and dust it very lightly on the tops of your tomatoes, peppers, eggplants and ground cherries (anything in the tomato family). It keeps for years
