Jack-Be-Little pumpkins

I was hoping someone could help me decide what to do about my Jack-Be-Little pumpkins. I have a pumpkin patch that has one Jack-Be-Little plant, two sugar pie plants, and one Howden (Jack-o-lantern) plant. At this point, the plant with the most pumpkins on it is the Jack-Be-Little. The first ones that set have been there several weeks and have turned a nice shade of orange. Would it be a good idea for me to go ahead and pick them and tear out the plant so that that the other plants have room to grow? The Jack-Be-Little plant seems to have taken more than the lion's share of room in the patch and I really want the other varieties to have more room. Since the little ones are only ornamental and won't be eaten, is it too early to pick them?

I'm a first time pumpkin grower, obviously. Thanks for any advice!
