The seven ready to use spray will work. Just make sure its under 85 degrees and follow the directions

Plan on follow up applications. The Sevin will get the nymphs for sure but unless you get direct contact with the adults, they will remain around to harass you. Any remaining eggs will hatch to gray nymphs and just blast them with with sevin again.

I am having great success with diatomaceous earth on my squash bug insurgents. Its OMRI certified and it just simply works. I made a video about how I apply it. Don't waste your time and money buying a 12 oz can of it. Go to your local feed store and get a 50 pound bag. The bad thing about doing it this way is that it must be periodically re-applied.

These little devils started taking out my summer squash & then started attacking my pumpkins & winter squash. I started a rotation where I spray Spinosad one day & then about 2 days later, spray cyfluthrin (Bayer Vegetable & Garden insect spray)... which is a synthetic pyrethroid. I then, 2-3 days later, start all over again.

My summer squash recovered & is running like crazy & setting tons of squash. I haven't seen a bug or any sign of eggs since I started this routine. When I spray, I use a pretty fine mist & spray all over the plant, including under each leaf & along all stems & runners.

I don't claim to be an expert on this subject matter. I just know these little fellows almost made me give up growing such crops and I am ecstatic that they have gone away. Also seems to me, these two chemicals are rather mild, as insecticides go. I notice my lady bugs are still prowling the leaves, so I take that as a good sign.
