Well the pumpkins are growing great guns down there in the field the kids planted. There's probably at least 75 to 100 pumpkin and squash plants of various varieties. The area is so big! Three plots one 40'x45'/ 18'x42'/ 18'x40'. Anyway, my question for these guys is how much water, how often, etc.? We don't have any fancy drip irrigation or anything so they are moving sprinklers around like crazy about every other day. I'm wondering if they need to be quite so intense about it all. It has been pretty warm here in the mid 80's and higher some days. We didn't do soaker hoses because of the expense and our hard water just wrecks them after awhile. Any seasoned growers out there with some tips would be appreciated. Thanks!
