Hubbard Squash blossoms

They are interesting... my are shaped like trumpets. The other C. Maxima I have, Cindarella pumpkin, their blossoms open up pretty well, but my Hubbard squash blossoms are more tubular. Is that normal?
But they are awesome for stuffed squash blossoms. I picked about 16 male blossoms today, and we stuffed and fried up some for dinner. Their tubular trumpet shape makes them awesome for this.

Hmmm......I can't say as I know the answer to your question, but I am interested what you stuff your blossoms with!

with ricotta cheese and parmessan cheese mixture, then dipped in batter and fried.
