Pumpkin Miscarriaging ugh

Hi new here and also a new gardener ...

I hope I can get an idea of what is going on or should I say why every new pumpkin along the vine miscarriages just to have a new and larger baby pumpkin . The problem is this is continuous and they all die but the vine keeps growing and producing new pumpkins just to end up quickly dieing one at a time and one after the other . I read somewhere that it could be the plant going through its own natural selection but I have no pumpkins which survive . What happens is they flower for one day close up at the end of the day, the flower then rots away and the tiny baby pumpkin turns slightly orangy yellow and begins to rot (mushy brown like a bruised peeled apple exposed to open air for too long 'very quickly') right where the flower was . I have seen swarms of bees around the pumpkin patch although I havn't actually witnessed any polination . Once per week this process repeats itself .help !!!
