that very well may be also, and most mildew is also a result of far to much moisture...there are a at least two other gardeners that have mildew infestations, as yet i have been very lucky and have not yet had to deal with mildew. i have slugs and earwigs...eating my poor pumps. a mildew is a coating on the leaves, and your leaves look as if the discoloration is internal, part of the flesh. is there a dust or spore from the leaves when you touch them or pat with a white towel?
