My garden's not that big. It's about 13' x 9', and contains other crops. I admit, I was a lil ignorant for planting pumpkins like this & not knowing how HUGE they'd get. But they're doing preeetty well so far, especially w/ this short growing season we have.

Are the secondary vines THAT necessary? The female buds from the main vines have already popped up (there are about 4 of em so far), and those 3 pumpkin plants (THREE! I originally had NINE!!) are venturing further & further. Heck, if I let em, they'd reach OUT of the backyard & into someone else's.

I really wanna prune these so they don't overtake the other plants.
