Borers and Powdery Mildew... No female flowers in sight.

My pumpkins had the unfortunate luck of being struck by both squash vine borers and powdery mildew at the same time... the vine borers have mostly been dealt with, but the powdery mildew is still present. (It hasn't killed any leaves yet, but it it present on almost every leaf and nothing gets rid of it.)
I think the plants ( I have four pumpkins- two jack-o-lanterns and two other medium sized ones) are pretty stressed- female flowers start to grow, but yellow and shrivel up before they get bigger than a penny.
This is my last year I can grow pumpkins for many years, so is there any hope? Do I have any shot at getting a female flower to actually bloom? I have been attempting to control the PM by wiping all the leaves down with a rag every day, but it takes me well over an hour and I won't have that time after tomorrow.
Do I have hope, or should I give up now and just let the pumpkins go?
