| Some types of gourds are edible but others are not. Most gourds that are edible have to be eaten when they are pretty young, though. |

| I think if your interest was in eating then you'd just be better off growing something else. But that is an interesting question. |

| I wasn't really interested in eating them. I just wondered if they had a different purpose beside being ornamental. |
