I have been seeing signs of yellowing leaves on my pumpkin (and some on my cucumbers on the other side of my yard), but just saw the striped cucumber beetles today.

I have a ~80# pumpkin on one of my vines, the other vines have no fruit at all. The stem from the main vine to the pumpkin doesn't look healthy, and I see 1 damaged spot on the pumpkin itself.

Googling around, it seems that this season is a lost cause. But, is there anything I should do now to help avoid this next year?

Also, is it possible to save the pumpkin for the Fall? It might fit in a spare fridge that I have. It's not the right color yet, but it is pretty big.
