My luffahs are just now blooming and making tiny gourds. Will they have time to grow a few to maturity before our first frost date of Sept 16?

In zone 5 it would be a tough proposition to get anything to mature.
All lagenaria need at least 2.5 months from flower to maturity. you can eat the young fruits though. I believe they are also called chines okra which can be eaten as fresh vegetable before maturity.
