Mystery Is Solved

I asked a week or so ago if all gourd blossoms were white. What I thought might be a gourd has turned out to be a Summer Squash. The name is Tromboncino. I couldn't remember where I had ordered it from but finally found it. It came from The Territorial Seed Company in Oregon. They say you can use it as any other summer squash at any stage,. small or large. I have some now that are nearly two feet long. Interesting !! Now besides this I do have Snake Gourds that are 30 ft. up in an Apple tree and still growing. I am pruning them off so that maybe some will develope as we do not have a 130 days growing season here.

Surprise eh?! That's funny! Gardening is always interesting isn't it!

I'm also z3 MN and have grown birdhouse and apple gourds for a few years. This year I'm also growing nest egg, cavemans club, and long handled dipper. They are all white blossums.

Good luck with the snake gourds. I'm hoping to try them next year. Let me know how they turn out!!
