svb?
This weeks update.
We have two of the bigger pumpkin plants producing one nice size pumpkin apiece (one is about 25lbs, the other feels like 15). The bigger pumpkin plant has plenty of rotten looking leaves on it and definitely some withering. I am hoping it's sole pumpkin (green with yellow and orange specks) finishes its maturity by the time the plant kicks it. I noticed what looked like a SVB hole with cleaned out material near the base of the stem coming up from the ground (near base of plant, not near the pumpkin about 6 feet away). I cut back some of the diseased leaves like I have seen online here and one of my neighbors recommended digging a bit into the area to see if anybody is habitating there. I did and there was a not too active inch long white grub-like thing. I tossed him in the trash. What do we make of this?
