Help! We're moving - can I take my pumpkins?

Hi there! I am a new gardener, and I'm so proud that I have what appears to be a thriving patch of pumpkin vines (and 3 pumpkins so far)! I live in Colorado.

Well, as it turns out we are going to be moving soon, just across town, but I can't help but think I'm going to have to leave my beloved pumpkin patch behind.

Does anyone know if it is possible to move everything at this stage? I attached a photo of the largest pumpkin right now, as you can see it's about the size of my fist. It's the beginning of August now, and so I can wait about 7 more weeks before we have to move it (or, not move it and just say goodbye :( ), I just wanted to see if anyone had experience or advice in this arena.

Thanks!

Kimberly

ask the new tenants if they mind letting your patch grow. you take care of it and when the season is over harvest and clean up your stuff.
