Pumpkins, Squash & Gourds

Could someone please help identify this squash/gourd??

Some of my scouts were working on their gardening merit badge and they gave me this plant.....the fruit is a variety I cannot identify from pics on the internet..... Thank You for your help! It is light green and very warty....it is stripped like a watermelon..I have pics but cannot get them to work on this site but I can e-mail them to anyone who can help........Thanks again!

It is probably just an ornamental gourd they come in all shapes and sizes. Feel free to email me you can get my email address from my user page. By the way gardening merit badge was my favorite one to earn and I am very proud to be an Eagle Scout.
