Spray for D & P mildew ?? let it go??

Hello all,

My squash/pumpkin (C.moshata) vines are covered with D & P mildew. Early in the season I would have sprayed but wondered if it was needed this late in the season. We usually get our first mild frost in late October or mid-November. The mildew does not seem to be bothering the fruit - only the leaves. However, I would hate to lose my squash. What say you all?? Spray or leave it be??

I've never had it affect the squash, particularly this late in the season. It'll wipe out the leaves if it's uncontrolled but your fruit should be fine. Spraying is probably worth it if there is still a reasonable portion that doesn't appear seriously infected in order to slow it down and give the fruit more time to ripen or develop.
