Canning Pumpkin

We grew some pumpkins in our garden and have several. We are going to can them. I have read you should not can them using a hot water bath but should pressure can. We are cooking them at 450 Degrees to remove the skin. Any thoughts on this ,Also we have canned tomatoes before by putting them in the oven and heating them at 325 for thirty minutes and leaving the door on the oven closed until the oven cools with success and wondered about this approach for pumpkin
