Hand pollination - female flower damage

Hi,

This is the first year I'm trying to grow pumpkins (traditional Connecticut variety). The vine is doing very well and just this morning (after a nice downpour) I tried to hand pollinate the first female flower (I have seen a few bees but this female seemed to be on her own away from some males and I'm not sure how many bees would be out after the rain) and, in the process, I broke off one of the lobes by mistake. Will this pumpkin underdevelop or be damaged in any way? (Next time I try to hand pollinate I will use several male stigma on one female to increase the chances of pollination happening). Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
