Hey All,

We got a pumpkin out of our random plant (that sprouted surprisingly from a pumkin we had on our stoop last fall - after squirrels got into the pumpkin and spread the seeds all over).. And its a great size - but still very green.

Also our plant has 'powder mold' i think its called. I can imagine its hindering its growth (need clean leaves to get the sun, I'm thinking, as the powder mold covers the leaves if you let it go too long).

Is the mold the reason why our pumpkin is probably still very green? Or is there something the fruit needs its not getting? thanks!
