Oblong pumpkin, or is it not a pumpkin?

So, what's up with this oblong shape? It's suppose to be a winter luxury pumpkin. However it is not the same round shape the other pumpkins.
Wrong seed packaged with winter luxury seeds? Crossbreed seed? Other?
*The tape on the base is to keep the ants away. For some reason they love to have a party on the female parts
