How to treat damaged pumpkin rind

The rind on one of my pumpkins has a couple of scrapes and I wanted to know if they will heal by themselves or if I need to do something so I don't lose the whole pumpkin.
The size of the more severe scrape is bigger than a quarter. Just the very top layer of the rind was scraped off even though it looks a lot worse.
The other one is about 2 ins. long. It's more of a dent than a scrape.
