| If any of you saw the promo Martha Stewart did for the Pumpkin Patch in Illinois, the real thing is awesome.
I spent the past three days as the guest gourd artist at the patch, and had a great time. Folks drove from all over to visit the patch. Some had seen it in Martha's magazine, others on her TV show. I'm now down to a handful of gourds and will gratefully stay busy creating new gourd art. They feature many varieties of squash at the farm and I now have a few new varieties to cook for dinners this week. What's going on with the rest of you gourd folk?? Jan |
Follow-Up Postings:

| Oh, I`ll have another pile of gourds that'll make the one in Martha's magazine look a bit on the small size. This may be my last year growing gourds for awhile. The old market ain't what it once was, and I don`t need a couple thousand a year to craft on. Might be time to move on. |

| The little pile of gourds at the Pumpkin Patch is just a display. The real gourd harvest has begun and it looks like a bumper crop. Sure puts my little crop to shame!! But as I always say....we can always grow more gourds!! Jan |
