Gourd color

I saw somewhere on the internet a coating that you could put on a clean but unfinished pale gourd to bring the color back out. I can't remember where I saw this or what the produce was called. Do any of you know what I'm talking about? Or what could be used for this. I do mostly woodburning. Thanks, Dianne

RE: Gourd color

Hi Dianne

I have mostly used Kiwi Shoe Polish. I like the old fashioned ones like brown and neutral! Someone also has said they use protective outdoor furniture polish - it is a very hard wax and buffs up beautifully. Wish I could remember the name now - could be Carnuba Wax.
Good luck - and let us know what you try and works well for you. ALways good to get feedback.
