Florida Gourd Show

I don't know how many of you are "Snow Birds" (those northerners who very sensibly move south for the winter!)but I want to invite you to the Florida Gourd Society's show in Palatka the last weekend of Feb. I attended as an exhibitor last year (and took two ribbons!) but it was my first time ever and I had a blast.
If you grow, paint, burn, carve or are just facinated by all the things you can do with a gourd, a gourd show is the very best place/way to learn more than you feel your brain can ever remember. They even hold classes on how to do all that stuff. (
I will be teaching a class on making paper and a paper-type clay with "gourd guts" at the upcoming show. So, if you're down our way in Feb., stop in and check us out. And even if you don't take a class, stop by and say hi!
Good Gourding to all!

RE: Florida Gourd Show

Thanks for the invitation Cora - oh how I would love to be there. No snow up here yet (green Christmas) but know of lots of Snow Birds who are down in Florida - and two who are in a gourd group that I am in. I will have to check out the classes etc that will be offered at the FGS - I am sure it will be amazing with some incredibly talented people teaching and showing their works of art.

Cheers - Rita in Michigan
