What kind of ornamental grass would you reccommend?

What type of grass would i put in the front of the bricks? Need some advice!! I get morning shade to about 6 hours of half sun to dusk. Thanks, Deb.

Looking at the suroundings, I think I'd try a row of Japanese Blood grass. If it gets late afternoon sun it would look interesting viewed from indoors too. It dies back in the winter though, so it wouldn't be seen all year round.

I'm sorry I didn't see this sooner in the year. But for next year I would consider purple fountain grass. Pennisetum setaceum 'Purpureum' Full sun, evenly moist zones 9 and 10. It would look very nice spilling over the side of the planter. It is a very showy grass...unfortunately it is treated as an annual in my zone but I feel it is well worth the replanting every year.
Out of curiosity, what did you plant there this year?

Black Millet would be nice.

I like the idea of purple fountain grass next to your light coloured brick. I have the same shade of brick, and I prefer the dark coloured foliage to green foliage.
