| Can anyone identify this for me? It's about 15" tall, grows in a nice clump, is a lovely soft blue-grey colour, has flat leaves.
Thanks.

| Helictotrichon sempervirens is one possibility. It's a very tidy clumper. But the blades look to broad and too blue. Perhaps it's one of the Elymus. Some of these are serious travelers -- they look like a clump for some of the first year they're in the ground, but then they take off! |

| Hi Jean001, I've looked at pics of the various oat grasses, and you're right.. my leaves are too broad and too blue, plus it doesn't have any drooping or cascading habit at all.. just straight up blades. I'll check out Elymus, thanks. I thought it was Blue Lyme grass at one point, but saw one in a nursery, and it didn't match (course, I now own the Blue Lyme grass as well!). Thanks for your suggestions. |

| I think I've found out what it is... Agropyron Magellanicum (aka Elymus Magellanicus), or Blue Wheat Grass (aka Magellan Blue Grass). Thanks Jean, for pointing me in the right direction. |
