Help indentify this grass

| I was in Manzanillo, Mexico over Christmas and was struck by a grass, growing as a weed, that had seed clusters that resembled a propellor. The samples I saw werebetween 2 and 3 feet high. I also saw similar grasses growing en masse in isla mujeres, Mexico as well by the ocean.
Is anyone familiar with this kind of grass? I would love more information about it.
Thanks in advance,

| I've seen Blue Grama Grass (Bouteloua gracilis) described as having propeller-like seed heads:
There are at least a few Bouteloua varieties native to Mexico. |
