Which Ornamental Grasses would be best for me?

I'd like to plant some Ornamental Grasses this spring only I'm not sure what will grow good here....I live in West Virginia zone 6. I'd like something that will get tall.
Thanks,
Christina

Christina,
Wow! The sky is the limit. I'm sure you will get lots of responses on this post with people's favorites.

There are so many different grasses that you can grow in your area. My suggestion would be to do a image search based on the suggestions you recieve or ... go to your local library & check out a book on Ornamental Grasses. That way you can have a good look at the pictures and pick one that YOU really like. Grass book authors include; John Greenlee; Rick Darke; Roger Grounds; Piet Oudolf & Michael King .... just to name a few

For starters these are some taller grasses you can grow
Miscanthus sinensis cultivars (many to choose from)
Miscanthus giganteus
Arundo donax
Saccharum ravennae (Erianthus ravennae
Molinia caerulea var. arundinacea (sometimes listed as Molina arundinacea)

Once you've grown one you will want to grow more ~ welcome to our obsession :o)
A.
