1. Curious as to what exact type of Fountain Grass this is? I believe I've seen it called "Redhead" fountain grass.

2. My other question is because I live in Southern California - it's january 8th and it's currently 75 degrees outside and dry (although we do get down to the 40s this time of year at times in the evening), must I prune this grass like I would in colder climates? It appears to be doing well at the moment.

Finally, my last question...

3. Dividing these grasses up.. If I do divide them, to they grow pretty large again in one summer/fall season? They're tough to find at stores right now, but I did find some that are in 2.5" containers - very small. I figure it would take years for those to grow to this size. Perhaps there'll be plenty to buy when summer comes.
