Tall perennial grass for a steep hill?

There's a steep hill between my property and my neighbor's and it's very difficult to mow the lawn (well... weeds!) that grow there. This year I'm thinking of planting the bulk of it with crimson clover. I'd also like to find a tall grass to act as a hedge between the two properties.

The hill is on the West side of the house to the South at the front and gets a lot of sun. The soil is okay but it's right over ledge (the whole yard is ledge!) and there's a good water flow down into the basement crawl space. The Siberian Iris at the bottom of the hill by the house thrive! I think the clover will do well and, hopefully, re-seed.

For a tall grass at the back I was thinking of Pink Muhly, Melica Red Spire, and some variety or other of Miscanthus. I also like the look of Hordeum Jubatum (Foxtail Barley) though I'm not sure it's quite what I'm looking for for this spot.

I'd love to hear any other ideas. I'm just so sick of weed whacking this spot!
