Ornamental Grass

Short ornamental border grass for zone 5 shade garden

Is there even such a thing? This area gets maybe 3-4 hours of dappled sun each day and then full shade. I'm looking for a grass that gets full but only about 6"-8" tall. I don't care about the color, but I don't want straggly, which I think blue fescue grass tends to be. I would like to soften the edges of a brick pathway, so I need a lot of it. Any ideas?

You can't go wrong with some of the hundreds of varieties of Carex, AKA Sedge. Many of them fit your size requirements and many of them love shady locations.

Thanks, Donn! I did scroll down a few pages here and saw another post similar to mine. I saw the "Ice Dancer" one, but it grows between 6"-12" inches high. I will look to see if I can find a site that gives me names of some shorter ones.
