Grasses that hold up to snow cover

I am designing a grass grouping to be located near a 20 foot diameter pond. Would like 3-5 grasses (in a pleasing combination) that won't lose their form when it snows. Also would like grasses that don't die out in the middle, like many of my Miscanthus seem to do. Tallest should be 5' in flower. Any ideas?

Many of the native grasses hold up well with the exception of Big Bluestem which detaches a little too easily for my liking during the winter. The natives also have the advantage of not dying in the middle and being much easier to cut back in the spring.

Little Blustem (as long as soil is not wet)
Prairie Dropseed (no wet soil)
Switch Grass (will tolerate more moisture)
Indian Grass (will tolerate more moisture)

Since it's by a pond you could check out some of the native sedges like:

Carex Grayii
C. bicknelli
C. stricta
C. vulpinoides

And more...(JF New in Indiana sells several dozen native varieties of sedges that you can purchase plus the grasses)

They will take more moisture and they have a beautiful grass like texture.
