liriope have no buds... ?

I have a row of liriope planted in my garden. I trimmed em back in Nov or Oct. I did a bit more trimming the past month and didn't see many buds maybe only one on each liriope. So I'm wondering if the liriope have no buds will they still sprout or will they grow from the base (around their roots)

They grow new shoots, from tuber-like roots, in the spring.

Liriope is not a grass, and you'll probably be able to find out more about them in the Perennial Forum or the Groundcovers Forum.
